Goodwood has announced the 2023 Members’ Meeting will take place on the weekend of 15-16 April next year.
The event, which first took place in 1948, will return once again in 2023 for its 80th running.
This will be the ninth edition of the Members’ Meeting since it was revived in 2014 after a 48-year hiatus.
A statement from Goodwood reflected on the action of 2022’s event and said next year’s meeting will be one of the best to date.
“The ninth revived Goodwood Members’ Meeting is set to be one of the best ever, opening the Goodwood motorsport season in style with a two-day extravaganza of car and bike racing.
“This year’s 79th Members’ Meeting featured some amazing action including a wonderful into-dusk demonstration for Porsche’s 956 and 962 Group C cars.
“We were also treated to drifting action from drivers including three-time Formula Drift champion James Deane and had our ear drums treated by the incredible sound of high-revving V10-era F1 cars.”
The Members’ Meeting has become the traditional ‘season opener’ in recent years for motorsports action at Goodwood, with other key events such as the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival taking place later in the year.
Full details of the event are yet to be released, but will be revealed in due course.
