Nigel Mansell's Formula 1 career will be celebrated at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.

It's been 30 years since Mansell won his only F1 world championship with Williams in 1992 and Goodwood is marking the occasion by celebrating his entire career.

As part of the celebrations, Mansell will attend the event and will also be reunited with the Williams FW14B that helped him secure the world championship.

He will also take to the famous hillclimb in a number of cars that he drove throughout his career, including the Lotus 91, Ferrari 639 and Ferrari 640.

“I’m thrilled to be coming to the Festival of Speed this year!" Said Mansell.

"It’s always a wonderful event and I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of some of my cars again and celebrating 30 years since my world championship with all the Goodwood fans."

Goodwood's theme for the event this year is all about celebrating the "Masterminds of Motorsport", and the Duke of Richmond believes Mansell is an integral part of British motorsport history.

“As we prepare to celebrate the ‘Masterminds of Motorsport’, I am delighted that Nigel will be joining us at the Festival of Speed to celebrate his incredible achievements in Formula 1.

"We know our fans will be eager to see Nigel in action on the Hill and have a chance to applaud his historic career."

This year's Festival of Speed takes place on June 23- June 26, 2022.
